Making Green Eggs

Today in class we made lots of different eggs! Look at the green egg we made, they were so good! KGC thought we were really good risk takers

Our post office visit

Last term we got to go to the postie shop and look at how we send and recieve mail. We saw lots of fantasitc different things at the mail centre. It was lots of fun! we even saw their bikes and posties!

our subway visit

Last week we visited Subway in Greerton and looked at how food is made and how it changes. We got to even taste a bit of a sandwich! We had ham, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and mayo. We got to go into the cold frezzer and look at all the different things they use to make the sandwiches we eat. We walked down on a very chilly day, but had lots of fun. What a great Trip Room 15

Welcome to 2008

We have had a great start to the year. This year there are 28 students in Room 15. We are learning about communication and how we talk and communicate to one another. In term one we will have visits from experts and a trip to the mail centre. Look for photos and what we are learning this term!!

Our Radio Experience

Last week we had a special Visit from the breakfast team from More fm. They came into our class and asked us questions about Christmas and TV shows. We had to think of some creative answers so we sounded funny on the radio. On Monday More fm played the interview on the radio and we got to listen to our voices. We had so much fun! We are also going to get some cool toys from toyworld for doing it. Thank you so much More fm and Ethan for organising it!!

Our Athletics Day

At our junior school athletics we had to do high jump, shot put, discus, long jump, javelin, hurdles and sprint races. We had a fantastic sunny day and everyone participated in every activity. It was great to see all the students having fun and enjoying every event. We had sun block and hats to protect us from the hot sun as well.

We ended the day with our relays and Room 14 won the Year 2 relay and then the teachers and parents even had a race. Mr Jay was so slow!
